
Someday subsequent week, NASA’s latest rover on Mars, Perseverance, will set a file for probably the most distance pushed by any car on one other world.
The auto-sized rover, which landed on Mars in February 2021, will traverse past 45.16 km (28.06 miles) throughout the Martian floor. In doing so it’s going to break the earlier distance file held by the long-lived Alternative rover, which ceased communications with NASA in 2018.
So how did Perseverance attain this record-setting distance in only a third of the time?
